Snehjori is a formidable grassroots organization dedicated to bridging educational disparities in Assam, specifically serving the children of migratory workers and marginalized communities. Founded by Reshma Begum, the movement operates on the belief that every child deserves a sense of belonging and a safe, inclusive environment to learn and grow. By establishing Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers and community-led library outreach programs in regions like Pandu and Jalukbari, Snehjori creates physical and intellectual safe spaces for those often left behind by the traditional system.
Our approach goes beyond classroom support; we are a youth-led initiative that focuses on strengthening local capacity. We empower the youth of Assam to become the primary architects of change, training them to lead pedagogical innovations and community engagement efforts. Supported by institutional partners like the Wipro Foundation, Snehjori continues to scale its impact across the Kamrup district, fostering a culture of leadership, equity, and lifelong learning.
